Wood Supply Finland has GIS based tools in use for critical wood supply operations as well as an information based tools. GIS role in modern wood supply business is crucial and will increase rapidly in the future. Current GIS tools are integrated into the WSF Forest System and also WSF extranet services (eMetsä) have set of GIS elements in use.

We are looking for candidates to develop, maintain and support GIS area in Wood Supply Finland business, this is golden moment to be a GIS-star and forerunner in Ostrava.


Requirements:
The successfull candidates have experience or knowledge from the following areas:

• Hands on expertise on ESRI, .Net, Java, Websphere and open source technologies with an ability to work any GIS application as required
• Oracle –spatial knowledge
• MS / SQL Server – spatial and reporting knowledge
• ArcGIS Server knowledge
• MapServer map-engine
• In addition, an advantage is experience from other Microsoft web application development technologies (eg. ASP.NET).

In addition the candidated should have:

• University degree, Business Administration or IT or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience is an advantage
• Development and project competence from enterprise level systems, especially in GIS
• Service oriented thinking and strong commitment to reusability by ”code only once” thinking
• A service mind. An urge to understand and meet business requirements is essential.
• Possibilities to travel if needed
• Capacity and willingness to work in teams
• Good communication skills
• Forest / Wood Supply business knowledge is an advantage
• Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage
